BREAKFAST

ON THE RUN

Join us the second Saturday of each month for our Breakfast on the Run: Free Community Breakfast served from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Drive-up to the North Entrance to pick-up. CLICK HERE for the info flyer.

FOOD PANTRY

We have partnered with the River Falls Community Food Pantry to serve those most in need during these unusual circumstances. The food comes from the Food Pantry, Our Neighbors’ Place with “The Sheridan Story”, YMCA camp garden and The Grow To Share Program and is free for anyone. Available in front of the church doors Monday thru Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE

River Falls UMC will once again be gathering backpacks, school supplies and money. Supplies can be dropped off in the Gathering Area (M-F 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.) or by appointment. Checks, written to RF-UMC, can be dropped in the church mail slot or sent to the church office. Last year the Tools for Schools served 367 children and in 2020 they project serving more students due to the hardships surrounding the pandemic.

Providing gifts for families at Our Neighbors Place and gift cards to help support our Free Community Breakfast.

OUR NEIGHBORS' PLACE

Proud to provide support monthly to Our Neighbors' Place and their mission to connect our neighbors with support, shelter and housing services to foster self-determination.

ARC

Supporting the mission of the Assistance & Resource Center to provide short-term assistance to residents of River Falls and Ellsworth School Districts to help them meet their basic needs.

EARTH CARE

UMCOR

Each year we set a goal and raise funds for UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief) cleaning kits. The cleaning kits help to care for the most vulnerable peole during times of crisis. Kits are assembled at the church and delivered to annual conference.

HOPE FOR CREATION

Partnering with local congregations to create a hopeful, sustainable future through collaboration, education, advocacy, and action.

 

We acknowledge the urgency of our environmental challenges, and seek ways to protec tthe earth, our common home.

 

We support the deeply-rooted values of our faith traditions which call us to respectful stewardship of the land, air, waters and all living things.

 

We care especially for the poor in our neighborhoods and around the world who are more impacted by climate change and ecological instability.

 

All are welcome to participate in meetings and activities. You do not need to be affiliated with a Partner Congregation or any fath community.

ADVOCACY

ECUMENICAL ASYLUM COMMITTEE (EAC)

Supporting refugee families seeking asylum and assisting them in becoming independent while making a new home in our community.

 

BREAD FOR THE WORLD

Bread for the World is a collective Christian voice urging our nation’s decision makers to end hunger at home and abroad.

 

By changing policies, programsand conditions that allow hunger and poverty to persist, we provide help and opportunity at home and far beyond where we live.

RECONCILING SUNDAY

A celebration of our reconciling congregation. River Falls UMC welcomes all persons of any age, race, gender identity, ethnic origin, economic reality, family status, sexual orientation, diverse ability, faith history or social standing as full and equal participants in the life and work of this reconciling congregation.

A Cooperative Purchasing Program that offers affordablegroceries and packages of produce and meat for up to 40% off retail prices. Everyone is eligible to participate — there are no income restrictions. Call Our Neighbor’s Place (715-426-9000) to order. Pick-up at the United Methodist Church one Tuesday each month.
